Christopher Le Brun is one of five artists shortlisted for the Ebbsfleet Landmark commission, a major project to build a 40 to 50 metre high monument in North Kent, south east of London. Futurecity have invited Le Brun, Daniel Buren, Richard Deacon, Mark Wallinger and Rachel Whiteread to submit proposals. It is the biggest commissioned art work of its kind in the United Kingdom. The sculpture could stand as high as Nelson's Column. The exhibition of the proposals opens on 7th May 2008.

Le Brun's first sculptures in bronze date from the mid 1990's. The largest is the horse with two discs entitled Union. A cast is installed at the entrance to the Museum of London in the Barbican.
The artist has a sculpture studio near Snape in Suffolk.
